About

While I have occasionally done photoshoots for a handful of friends, my primary joy in photography has always been exploring.

Nate Bishop

I am a Boston-based photographer from Fairhope Alabama. I enjoy making photographs of scenes of progressive activism and urban landscapes. Through these two forms, I aim to archive a small slice of the character of Boston.

I first picked up photography at age 13 with a Fujifilm pocket camera. For a while, most of what I knew was self taught, save for learning a few new concepts in television production classes I took.

In 2015, at age 17, I started the Nate Shots brand with the intent of making a name for myself as a photographer. While I have occasionally done photoshoots for a handful of friends, my primary joy in photography has always been exploring.

From 2017 to 2019 I worked at Apple as a photo trainer (Creative Pro). Each day I led Apple customers on photo walks around the town and engaged them in extraordinary photo labs. In the summer of 2019, I also interned at Metter Media to expand my commercial portfolio and learn more about client relations.

In the fall of 2019 I departed Apple to advance my skills in photographing producing activist stories from around Boston. In a time of quickly evolving media attentions, I feel that it’s important to create a long-term platform for progressive activism.

Through my collections, I hope you can enjoy my explorations with me. If you find my work to be of any interest to you — and you would like to purchase it, feature it in a gallery, or make a commission — feel free to contact me.

Long-term, I intend to grow my social marketing agency, Birch, that specializes in conversational marketing, social media, and public relations for tech companies.
